The objectives of the Institution are being achieved, with the incessant work carried on by its members for the last 49 years.
‘Gomant Kalika’ has brought about literary and intellectual development of the community.
The Institution has achieved unity and brotherhood among Daivadnyas and fostered good and healthy relations between the Daivadnyas and other communities.
It has instituted Prizes and Scholarships for the students of the Daivadnya community, and also prizes for the students at large, irrespective of caste and religion.
It gives financial assistance to needy students and women.
It has instituted Goldsmith Awards, Artisan Awards, Social Work Award and Goldsmith Prize irrespective of caste and religion.
It has instituted three Literary Awards — Nathmadhav Literary Award, P. B. Kulkarni Literary for writers irrespective of caste and religion, and one Literary Award, Vinayak Devrukhkar Literary Award.
On occasion of its Gold Jubilee year, the Mandal has instituted three more awards, namely Late Dnynaneshwar Kolvekar Literary Award, Late Pandurang P. Shirodkar Literary Award and Dr. Harishchandra J. Nagvenkar Literary Award. These Literary Awards are for writers irrespective of caste and religion.
The Institution publishes every month ‘Gomant Kalika’ including two special issues on the occasions of ‘Gudi Padwa’ and ‘Diwali’.
‘Gomant Kalika’ publishes articles of social importance and short stories, poems, essays, travelogues, etc., and encourages budding talent in the literary field.
It has organised symposiums on issues of social relevance. ‘Gomant Kalika’ has spread scientific temper, social and ethical values among the people. Its aim has always been to bring about the growth of responsible citizenship in the country.
The Institution has been successful in involving the people in all its activities and schemes, which has enabled it to get sponsorship for its educational and literary schemes.
